CBD is popular for many reasons. People take CBD to reduce anxiety, calm inflammation, and get a better night’s sleep.
While CBD is an excellent agent for all of the above and more, it’s helpful to understand that CBD is not a substitute for bad habits. In other words, taking CBD every day doesn’t cancel out your poor diet or give you a pass to not exercise.
And because we promote healthy living here at Zakah Life, we want to give it to you straight on what happens to your body when you take CBD, and how that inadvertently affects your mind.
How Does CBD Make You Feel?
Co-founder of Leef Organics, Emily Heitman, stated in a Well + Good article that “CBD is used and repurposed by your body in the way you need it most.” Meaning, that if you’re experiencing feelings of anxiousness, those feelings will start to dissipate. And if you’re having trouble focusing, CBD may give you a clearer mind.
Heitman went on to say that the feeling of each individual tends to be a little different. “I think everyone feels relief and balance from daily use of CBD...I believe it should be part of everyone’s daily routine for maintenance and preventative support.”
Founder of Zakah Life Cole Stegman gave us a more scientific answer on how CBD makes you feel, explaining that “It’s all in the ECS.”
The ECS, or endocannabinoid system, controls most of our bodily systems and functions. When using CBD every day, the healing benefits from the plant compound begin to balance the ECS, which then balances whatever needs balancing. This includes pain management, memory, mood, stress, sleep, metabolism, and immune function.
“To me, pain management is one of the most amazing benefits CBD brings to the body,” he said. “Most humans are out of balance from processed foods, lack of sleep, and general high stress. When there is a lack of something our body needs, our ECS gets alerted. CBD, along with other cannabinoids, regulates whatever needs regulated.”
Does CBD Make You Happy?
So to answer our question, “Does CBD make you happy?” We’d have to say yes in the sense if someone is no longer suffering from anxiety, pain, stress, or inflammation, he/she would certainly feel happy about that.
Generally speaking, most of us are lacking something as it pertains to a healthy mind and body. We are overworked, overstimulated, and stretched too thin. Complaining about it doesn’t do much, so finding a way to better manage our stressors is the only solution.
CBD rebalances what needs balancing. Be it a better mood or lessened anxiety, CBD may help you live a better life.
